Perhaps they are seizing the opportunity with the HST to GST/PST to gain more profit. Starting April, many BC individuals will feel like they pay less taxes on goods and for a 25cents increase in a viet sub, they are most likely still willing to pay for it. Plus, most restaurants are bound for a increase in price after a while with inflation (this includes chains like McDonald's).
